Frequently Asked Questions

Please keep in mind that our F.A.Q. is a work in progress and is constantly being updated.  If you feel there are any more questions that need to be addressed, don't hesitate to let us know so you can help us help you!  EDMaddicts F.A.Q. can be found under the 'Home' tab on the Main Menu.

How do I register?
    - Registering is simple and easy.  No e-mail activation is required!  You can register by clicking on the 'Register Here!' under the Community section of the menu above or you can find it on the home page at EDMaddicts Login.  Member benefits outweigh that of your typical guest.

How are songs organized?
    - Songs are organized by genre and the most recent tracks are at the top of the page.  You can also choose to refine your search through a drop down menu located above and to the right of the top listing on the page.  If you are looking for a sub-genre, type it in the search box.  You might just find what you are looking for.

I don't see my favorite genre!  Where is it?
    - Sorry!  We specialize in House, Tech House, Techno, Electro, Progressive, and Minimal.  If you would like a sub-genre category added on the forums, contact one of the admins and we will try to work something out.  If there is a high demand and we have people willing to help add content to a genre we don't have listed, EDMaddicts.net can make it happen.  NO TRANCE!

How do I rate/review tracks?
    - All registered members can rate and review tracks on the website.  All members can give each track a 1-5 Star rating AND you can choose to write your own personal review that others can read.  You DO NOT have to write a review, you can just rate it if you want.  The link to Write Review (which is also voting) is located under each listing.  It is beneficial to everyone if you take the time to rate the tracks you preview.

I found an awesome song that is not yet listed, what do I do?
    - Post it in the forums or send one of the admins a private message.  Please include a Zippyshare link and basic track description and any information we might need to know.  If you are interested in getting permission to directly post songs to the database, read below...

I want to become a Poster/Editor!
    - Not just anyone can post tracks to our database.  If you are interested AND have a good ear for new and quality tracks please contact EDMaddict from your member account and he will send you a private message with a questionnaire.  Quality control!

I am a rising producer, DJ, or remixer!  How can my tracks get posted?
    - If you are interested in having your remixes up on the database, please send one of the Editors a link containing your file on Zippyshare.  We are not interested in waiting 20-60 seconds for some "premium" download service to finish loading before we can even hear the track.   If it was really premium, you wouldn't have to wait in the first place.  The only other type we will accept is Speedyshare.  Members will be able to rate and review your music which can provide you with some valuable feedback for future production.

I own a blog but it's a lot of work...  Can I post on EDMaddicts.net?
    - Blogging is NOT easy.  It takes a lot of hard work and dedication to run a successful music blog.  We designed EDMaddicts.net so we could move on from blogging to a much better, faster, and efficient user interface.  Please send us a link to your blog so we can check it out, and if we like what we see, we'd love to have you on our team!  All of your posts/articles are attributed to your account so you get credit for your work.
